We left late and took our time enjoying the scenery and stopping along the way between Helensburgh and Batemans Bay. The plan was to stay in Batemans Bay but upon arrival we found out that camping was going to be $38 for an unpowered site so we kept driving.
We stopped at Guerilla Bay just as the sun had begun it's descent but the camp ground there was apparently full. So we kept driving.
Just a little further down the coast, and 20km from the nearest town we found a campground in Tomakin, at the mouth of the Tomago river.
Shortly after we set up our tent it was dark (about 7.30) and we were hungry. At this stage we didn't have any food so we were extremely lucky to find we had camped next to the only social club around for miles, with the only restaurant around for miles and we got there just 6 mins before it closed! Of course, we only found that out once we got in there and placed our order!
