Russ, Phil and Dad had to sit in the lounge as we still don't have enough chairs around our table. We are getting them from a friend.

Easter Sunday Feast

Happy Easter to all those reading this blog!
We kicked off the weekend on Good Friday morning with a few friends over for a pancake breakfast. I wish I had taken a photo of the table arrangement I did - it was a candle amongst a circle of rose thorns...
We had nothing on all weekend so were able to get a lot of satisfying jobs done around the house - the most significant being rearranging the kitchen. Up until now we have been living here without a proper dining table due to lack of space. As you can see in the photo above we now have a place for it as we moved a bench. It is amazing the difference it has made already. We have gone from spending most of our time in the loungeroom to spending most of our time around the table!!
On Sunday we went to church in the morning - the most incredibly emotional service. Loved it! Then a relaxing afternoon preparing for a delicious family dinner around my new table!
Mum made the Easter cake - something she has always done since we were little kids. ALl the children were quiet at the same time, amazingly and we got to enjoy our meal all at the same time - seriously rare!

A day in the life of a bub

Billy had great fun licking the mud flaps on the 4wd while mel n rus packed down their camp. Naughty Aunty Jus was supposed to be watching him...and watching him I was - while having a good chuckle to myself.

Willow slept in Billy's portacot under the shade of a nearby tree while we packed up our camp and got ready to head home.

Last morning snaps

My gorgeous little nephew - Billy

Elvie with one of her pet bugs. On this particular morning she had been playing with a beetle for so long she stressed it out and it squirted her in the eye wuth some kind of potent smelly fluid. No harm was done but she did get an awful fright, and spent the rest of the morning smelling very yuck.

We've found Willow's ticklish spots...

Last night at Buchan

We made damper and sat around the fire while the kids had dinner...the roos came to see what we were cooking. There was also a very tame possum who visited us each night but I didn't get any photos to prove it.

Spring-Fed Pool @ Buchan Caves Reserve

Icy cold water! This pool was incredible - only for the very brave.
In the first pic you can see the opening in the rocks where the water flows out of and into the pool. It comes from an underground river cave and is filtered only by rocks.
Even though everyone looks like they are smiling they are actually grimacing as they gradually lose feeling in the lower half of the body.

Buchan Caves

Breakfast time outside the tent.

Bathing Willow in a tub

The kids painting while we had coffee....We named Elvie's "Mr Hanky's trip to Buchan Caves"
Her version was "3 ducks on a hill or something"

And as you can see we were joined by the Crazy Cravens at Buchan Caves.

From Beach to Caves

Some of the scenery along the way - it was a very picturesque drive.
