Miniature Railway

To celebrate Jacob's 3rd Birthday we went to Diamond Creek Miniature Railway.

All the kids LOVED it. Unfortunately Phil was still on his way home from Albury at the time so he missed out. We'll definitely go again. It's only about 35 mins drive from Coburg and a great place for a picnic.
Joel n Sar - if you guys hire a car when you are down here this would be a wonderful outing we could do together.

In these pics you can see Jake, Finn, Jet, Brea, Grandad and Elvie

Up top and back down

Lots of little freshwater trout in the pools and creeks...

On top of Oz!!

On the race back down the mountain, I took the most direct route - down the chairlift clearing..

On the way up

Rodders and I tried to make the walk more interesting/challenging for ourselves where possible...

Up top was remarkably similar to Scottish landscape...

Kossy

Phil and some mates decided to climb Mt Kosiuszko last weekend, so drove to the border to stay the night at Albury (Rod and Phil free camped on the banks of a river near town while the other guys piked out and went to a motel..we were right on the police patrol route as it turned out..but somehow managed to get overlooked by the patrolcar spotlight)
Rod left his tent in the boot of the car...so did combat with mossies all night as he wanted to sleep under the stars rather than share a tent...
