Scissors

Elvie used scissors for the first time yesterday. I gave them to her with a piece of wrapping paper hoping to keep her amused for 5 mins.....1 hour later, she was still concentrating hard and working on her technique!

Our new dishwasher

This particular model didn't come with instructions and it seems to be quite slow and has terrible results. However, it is cute and it suits us so we will keep it I think.

Elvie's BIG bed

On Tues night we moved Elvie out of her junior bed and into a BIG bed!! It went really well and she feels very special and grown up now. The junior bed is still in her room waiting to have the cot sides put back on it for the baby. She's really excited about the baby now, and looks forward to sharing her room with it (eventually). The other day on our way to the hospital for a checkup, Elvie asked "Is it time for me to have my own baby Mustang now?"

Candle-lit bath

Elvie was most impressed when Phil let her have a floating candle in her bath. She called it her 'little boat' and was very responsible with the flame. =)

Sliding

Elvie loves playing on playground equipment. She particularly enjoys going on the slide all by herself now. This playground is one of about 3 or 4 within a short walk from our house. I'm thinking it might be good to plan a breastfeed with the new bub in a playground whenever possible so Elvie can play while I am feeding.

Plans for doll house

These are the plans for the doll house that Phil is building for Elvie.
We will continue to blog the process. The deadline is 31/10 so we have a special present for Elvie when the bub arrives.
