Messy Yoghurt

She thought it was more fun to use her hand to eat the yoghurt...

Relaxing on the lounge

Gipsy enjoying a rest on Jus's lap - this is the first time she has willingly got onto our lap. Usually she's too frightened to come inside for long as Elvie throws things at her. Gipsy is learning when Elvie is napping and she sneaks inside at this time for a nap herself.

A little sis/bro for Elvie due 31st October '07

We have WHEELS!!

Four all joined together that is - not just two lots of two....

A bit ordinary looking at the moment, but once we do it up a little, it should be looking more like this soon enough...

Gipsy's New Bed

Jussy made Gipsy a new bed to welcome her home from hospital. She had her operation to be desexed and micro-chipped yesterday. The vet had suspected her to be pregnant but it turns out she wasn't! Since coming home, she has been a bit grumpy and has attacked Jussy twice for no reason. Prob cuz it was Jus that took her to the vet and is therefore responsible for her missing bits. Hopefully she'll calm down over the next few days.

Picking Dinner

Jussy went out and picked tomatoes and eggplant for our dinner tonight. Yum! She stir-fried them with onions and laksa paste and made a salsa verde topping with tomato, cucumber, capsicum, chives & chickpeas.

Ready to go out

Waiting for our lift to pick us up on Wednesday for Mums n Bubs. Elvie loves wearing her little backpack whenever we go out. It's filled with her favourite books and toys. She also really loves this hat and insists on wearing it all day, and quite often she wears it to bed too. It's not worth fighting about, really. If she wants to wear a hat to bed on a 40 degree day, what can I do? Needless to say her head gets very sweaty!

Mini Eggplant

We have stacks of eggplants ripening now. On one plant alone, there are at least 13. We ate one lastnight and it was really sweet and delicious!

Larry

This is Larry.
We ate him lastnight. He is the second lebanese cucumber we have enjoyed out of our garden now.

baby capsicum

These are the first capsicum of our crop...still tiny but coming along nicely!

Poppies

These are the poppies we grew from the seeds Grandma 'flowers' gave us.

Fleur

This flower came out of nowhere in our front garden while we were away for a few days. It's dead now but it sure was nice.

Madame Elf

Little Madame Elf takes up her usual pose on her little lounge for her usual dose of the dreaded Wiggles.

Having a blast in the morning when Grandma 'click click' came to stay. This time mummy did all the clicking!

Bookworm

Like father, like daughter....
Remember how Phil used to practise clarinet with a novel on his music stand?
Elvie can read and drive at the same time.

Cooking Dinner

Jus hard at work preparing dinner...
She's such a good wife. I should bring her flowers every day and buy her presents and spoil her more. I love her sooooo much.

The cat has a name!

Just letting everyone know our puss has finally been named.
Gipsy!
Nice name? Yeah we thought so too...
She comes when you call it, even if you are Elvie and all you can say is "Gippies"!

While sitting in our back yard on Wednesday, we noticed this puss wander through our vege patch - no idea where it came from, but not being microchipped and without a collar, it appears that she was a stray. We are in the process of adopting her (microchipping/registering etc)! She is estimated to be just under a year old, and has a beautiful nature (although Elf, beside herself with excitement, has already been pushing the boundaries and has copped a good claw to the ear with subsequent blood and tears)

On the road to Gundagai...

We set off on our journey to Sydney in a 6-berth campervan (hired for next to nothing on a rental relocation website). With toilet/shower/ kitchenette/dvd player/LCD tv/PS2/GPS it was a fun alternate ride that we all enjoyed

We had a short stop in Glenrowen (where Ned Kelly had his famous last stand) for a drive around to find some pies and coke for lunch. Elvie was thrilled to see the 'Big Man' as she kept calling him.

Didnt feel like driving back to the 'truck'...

Finally we arrived in Gundagai where we stayed the night... more photos to follow...
